Reef : New Bird
It's good to see that none of the pathetic, sexist stereotypes of old have been resurrected. Oh hang on, they have.
Is there anything more soul-destroying than putting the new
Reef single in the CD player and pressing 'Repeat'? It's unlikely.
Still, the 'West Country's finest' take time out from their busy festival schedule to bring us this important message: they want a new bird. And by the sound of things, they want one pretty badly. It would be nice to think Reef are only after a new pet budgie or something more exotic, a parrot perhaps; maybe the boys simply need a hearty chicken meal. But no, when Reef say bird, chances are they mean woman, and ladies, that means you. How can you resist?
As rock's new-found momentum lurches into top gear, it's good to see that none of the pathetic, sexist stereotypes of old have been resurrected. Oh hang on, they have.
