Oh my gosh, as the lovely Kate Nash would say. The latest pop waif on the mockney block is back, and this time she’s laying down some justice about rock’n’roll. “I can wind down low/Dance like the girls in the videos/But… I prefer rock’n’roll”, exclaims Remi Nicole – a skinny-jeaned siren who is trapped in a peer group who would rather lapdance a Premiership footballer than talk about Test Icicles with Alex Turner. Admirable sentiments, though the bantamweight production and Jack Peñate-style gyrations in the video wouldn’t offend a three-year-old. In fact, they’d love it.
