It's strange that after all the publicity about the lyric "she blew me off" being removed from this song for being officially Too Pervy, this single still arrives in shops with the wibbly-hipped Latino cherub yelling "SHE BANGS!" at the top of his voice all the way through the chorus. Two words which, you've got to admit, aren't without their sexual overtones.
'She Bangs' is (a) Basically 'Livin' La Vida Loca' with some different words, (b) Very good and (c) Destined to be the soundtrack for ladies and gentlemen who've had a little too much Tizer cavorting around on dancefloors of nitespots with names like 'Martine's' and then getting in trouble with their respective boyfriends and girlfriends.
And it just gets better! For this is the first single to be released from Ricky Martin's brand new album, which will no doubt include a few belters and a load of old ballads like the last one. Whether they'll all be called dodgy things like this single remains to be seen. Perhaps a song called 'Fancy A Shag?' or 'How Do You Like Your Eggs In The Morning?' wouldn't be too out of place.
Then again, perhaps not.
