Royal Trux : Waterpark
Waterpark' sounds like Joan Jett being kicked down the steps of the Eiffel Tower in a dustbin by, erm, The Rolling Stones.
Strange that in the very week that Jon Spencer's sis tries
to bust
our dismal limey asses with her rhyming prowess and her big bro releases his latest 'flava', his former Pussy Galore
bandmates,
Royal Trux, should also unleash another just-about lucid
rallying
cry to the kids of the universe. Perhaps there's some kind of low-key internecine warfare going on there. If so, my money's on
the
wrecked-looking chick in the stetson.
"I wanna go to the waterpark", growls Jennifer Herrema, as
the Trux
wheeze and buckle around her. Those as yet uninitiated into the
Trux
world or people who just like streams of dismal rock hack clichZ might like to know that 'Waterpark' sounds like Joan
Jett being
kicked down the steps of the Eiffel Tower in a dustbin by, erm,
The
Rolling Stones. Y'know, in the '70s, on acid or something. It's
just
about in time, just about in tune and just about, but not quite,
the
best record you can get your hands on this week.
