This just gave us a serious flashback to standing in the Queen’s Head tent at Glastonbury on Thursday night with a bottle of Liquid Gold lodged up our nostril babbling inanely about the new colour we just hallucinated. Unbelievably enough, ‘I Believe’ – with its housey synths, cheesy vocal acrobatics and total lack of killer bassline (what were you thinking, SMD?) – doesn’t sound nearly as good when you’re not three sheets to the wind in a muddy field and wearing entirely inappropriate headgear, but – hey! – what does? This is still a disappointingly average single from a pretty amazing duo, though.
