Sure, the only way the drowsily psychedelic Simian are going to set the world alight is by smoking in bed but still, ‘Mr Crow' is loveably twee. Sprouting like a Sgt Pepper moustache, this "traditional song" is overgrown with flowery vocals, fey harmonies and a creeping sense of nursery rhyme menace.
The other five tracks sound like Elliott Smith being melted down for parts (‘Something New') or fairground piping that's entirely for the benefit of Mr Kite (‘Societa')- but if it's all slightly pointless it's also rather nice. They've got a bike. You can ride it if you like. But on this evidence, you won't want to go anywhere fast.
