Sing-Sing
I'll Be (Aerial/Sanctuary)
A perfectly pleasant slice of
radio-friendly trip-pop from former Lush songwriter/guitarist Emma Anderson, on first impressions,
this reminds of Lush's old adversaries The Cranes.
Now armed with synths and drum machines instead of fuzzy guitars, Emma's songwriting still retains the same optimistic bluster of yore, but this time with added 'refinement'. If they added a couple of tin whistles and and Irish jib to this, they could probably be 'up there' with The Corrs.
