At school, I was in the Slow Club for maths. It wasn’t called that – we were the Triangle Group – because the teachers didn’t want us to think we were thickos, but we knew what it meant. Thankfully, there’s nothing idiotic about this EP from the cutesy Sheffield duo, which opens with a gospel Goliath of a title track and just gets better. Our pick is the twee ’60s twang of ‘Summer Shakedown’, though.
