As ‘Signal Fire’ is taken from the latest Spider-Man flick we couldn’t help but notice the similarities between SP’s frontman Gary Lightbody and Peter Parker. Both live double lives (Parker as superhero in journalist’s body Vs Lightbody’s duality as a mainstream/indie bastard hybrid) and both are forced to choose between the good and dark sides. Sadly ‘Signal Fire’ cops out, squatting uncomfortably between the two and leaving us in a web (sorry) of indifference.
