Ellis-Bextor, Sophie : Get Over You

In the red corner, Kylie. And in the blue corner, for this tabloid newspaper sponsored head to head of pop divas, Ms [a][/a]. Hand on hip, tongue in cheek, name like the head of special operations in a film about World War Two. And the tunes? Well, 'Get Over You' is a polite Euro disco take on an 'I Will Survive' sort of theme, sung, as ever with SEB, with the passion of someone submitting a request for additional stationary supplies. But this, of course, is her thing: it is still about as easy to imagine her saying "better not kill the groove" as it is "I love the smell of napalm in the morning", and herein lies the limited magic of this song.
