Starsailor : Lullaby

It's ironic that while being crushingly earnest all the time might make you sound like an old man, it is, essentially, a young man's game. Experience breeds perspective which breeds, well, a desire to piss around a bit. It might be wise for Starsailor to remember that even their hero Tim Buckley stopped moping after 'Happy Sad' and made the brilliant and (whisper it) fun sleaze-funk record 'Greetings From LA'. So, while 'Lullaby' is an improvement on 'Alcoholic' in the sense that it has a chorus and doesn't sound like Billy Joel on a bad day, it's still the aural equivalent of a particularly intense bout of hand-wringing.
