Malkmus, Stephen & The Jicks : Dark Wave

Only in the wonky world of weirdo alt-rock is this considered standard fare

Stephen Malkmus is still living in the wonky world of weirdo alt-rock, committed to a lifetime spent charting for one week at number 52. So committed, in fact, that he’s finished this marvellous Dexys Midnight Runners-turned-to-jelly record by (from the sound of it) getting someone to tickle his testicles with a pair of pliers. Only in the wonky world of weirdo alt-rock is this considered standard fare.
