Supergrass : Grace
Truly, there are breakfast cereals more complicated than this group
There's some groups like Coldplay
who have "responded to the events of September 11th with their music". And then there'sSupergrass, who, if 'Grace' is anything to go by, have chosen not to do anything of the kind. Making a nonsense of art, their art, as ever, remains nonsense. In the nicest possible way.
Truly, there are breakfast cereals more complicated than this group, but they continue to bumble eccentrically and blamelessly on a pleasant and nostalgic track, and now have arrived here - at the early 1970s, and the works of Marc Bolan. It's development of a kind, of course, but one suspects Supergrass
enjoy their status as Britpop Peter Pans. Old in influence, but young at heart.
