The Hives : Supply and Demand

A fantastic single that makes you want to jump on a table and punch the air...

They come from Sweden, they have great haircuts, they are young, skinny and employ handclaps at will. They sound a little like the White Stripes and carry echos of sadly defunct Washington DC gospel-blues outfit The Make Up. And they have just recorded a fantastic single that makes you want jump on a table and punch the air. The Hives are as close to a great rock'n'roll band as Alan McGee has signed to what is essentially his vanity label. And remember, to date he has signed something like 20,000 acts.
