The Streets

Everything Is Borrowed

“I want to speak every cliché”, Britain’s anointed lad laureate admits on this introspective sermon. OK, uplifting soul-hop is hardly new Streets territory and the message – making the most of life and that – is pretty universal, but Skinner’s words are as creative and vital as ever. That said, if Mike continues on this path of self-discovery, surely his next (and supposedly final) album will be called ‘Original Pilates Material’. Another line, Mike?

This is a great song, but its really one of those things where you have to see the video to get the song a bit faster, its true I heard it on the radio first and I was like M'eh, but after seeing the video I was like 'classs' it truly is 'music for the credit crunch' as Alan partridge said 'its not a brown Toyota, its a coffee coloured lexus'
