The Thrills

Do you remember The Thrills? They were those continent-hopping Sunny Delight power-poppers, who briefly shadow-boxed with the zeitgeist way back in the Casablancas Ages, right? Not any more, unfortunately. Blame latent schizophrenia or rapidly declining sales, but ‘The Midnight Choir’ finds them seemingly convinced they’ve become Arcade Fire, right down to the Amish threads and dusty brass-band backing. This track will either ensnare them a gullible army of fans in braces or could possibly make lead singer Conor Deasy’s psychiatrist a millionaire.
