Moving To New York

Most GPs would recommend a spot of exercise and perhaps a couple of Valium, but on ‘Moving To New York’ The Wombats have concluded that the ideal cure for insomnia is to move to the Big Apple. Yes, you recall, Frank Sinatra’s “city that never sleeps”. Genius. Still, what else would you expect from the band that threw elated shapes to Ian Curtis’ musical suicide notes? At least the tune itself is a keeper, all tumbling drums, bug-eyed vocals, and febrile guitar that quite neatly resembles the sensation of being out of your addled mind the wrong side of 5am.

It's amazing. Love the tune, really danceable. Although not the same dance factor as 'Let's Dance To Joy Division', it's still great- lyrics, instrumentals and the video is creative. Love the hamster!!

Its great. Although not as good as kill the director, its still got that really good cathy-poppy chorus and that indie tune to give a great song!!

this is what music is all about. yet again the threesome have churned up a song what makes you want to dance and sing along with it all though it doesnt exactly have happy lyrics. These guys have the potential to be huge, so i dont why there just moving to new york, lets move them to mars.
