These New Puritans
Named after a song by The Fall, friends of The Horrors, soundtrackers of a Hedi Slimane fashion show and with a drummer who featured in the lower reaches of our NME Cool List 2006 (slightly above her out of Fields and slightly below – oh yes – her out of The Concretes), These New Puritans’ credentials feel impeccable in a sort of two-years-ago kind of way. What’s more, ‘Elvis’ was the lead track on their ‘Now Pluvial’ EP, which saw the light of day way back in October 2006. Isn’t January supposed to be the out-with-the old-in-with-the-new time of year? Obviously not…
