By a stunning coincidence, your correspondent also attended the BRIT School and remembers Kate as a nice girl who’d spend hours playing kiss-chase with the Arctic Monkeys (studious lads, them, though given to the odd jape, like when they placed a bucket of water above the class door just before Luke Kook swanned through arm-in-arm with both Leona Lewis and Adele – the cad!). So yeah, she seemed pleasant enough.
