Plastercasts Of Everything

Liars used to make deliriously exciting art-rock, with swish basslines and melodies justifying their sometimes obtuse guitar clatter. Alas, since 2003’s ‘They Were Wrong, So We Drowned’, they’ve made music that has become increasingly unlistenable. And so it is here: another set of relentlessly headache-inducing bass throbs and total lack of tune – the only positive element of it being that it could clear a house party faster than a suicide bomber playing ‘Smoke On The Water’ on the kazoo.
