Hideous Sun Demon’s ‘Bad Girl’ – The New Single From The ‘Lo-Fi Limp Bizkit’ (Premiere)

Hideous Sun Demon’s new single ‘Bad Girl’ might be another example of Australia’s thriving music scene (King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Tame Impala), but how best do the four-piece describe their sound? “A lo-fi Limp Bizkit”.

They probably can afford to give themselves a touch more credit than that, but there’s a grain of truth. ‘Bad Girl’, the first single from their forthcoming album, is indeed a lo-fi, scuzzy and raucous delight, but the sleazy vocals and unhinged chorus are more batshit crazy than anything Fred Durst has put out.

With their second record, ‘Industry Connections’, due in October on Pilerats Records, they’ve roped in Stuart Mackenzie of King Gizzard on production duties. Let’s hope there’s a cover of ‘Rollin’ on it…
