As good, at least, as Idlewild. Maybe even better.
The cover rather tweely features a French fancy, and the first review CD snapped, so reluctant was it to be released from its sleeve. The second copy put up a bit of a struggle before being prised free and all in all things seemed to bode poorly for the young Farmers, but – hey! – this grunge pop is deceptively light and tasty! As good, at least, as Idlewild. Maybe even better.
It’s 1992. The Werefrogs are playing at The Water Rats in King’s Cross and I’m going to send a review into [a]NME[/a].
though, we’re going to have to kill grunge before ’93 starts,
we? Aren’t we!?
