Gulliver : Humalayo EP

Might as well make this foreign language corner, because here’s [a]Gulliver[/a], or Hugues Caullet as the name on his birth

certificate

reads. He’s French, and with ‘Humalayo‘ he’s trying to tell

us

exactly how good the Young Marble Giants‘ 1980 ‘Colossal

Youth‘

album is. He’s not saying so in so many words, of course. In fact he’s singing exclusively in French, but the general impression remains the same. Analogue keyboard noises, pimply little syndrums and a slightly edgy sounding fellow burbling over the top.
