Butterflies Of Love : Rob a bank

Another fine record from another fine, self-effacing little independent. Keep 'em coming, chaps.

[a]Gulliver[/a], as you may have just read, is from France, but his

record

label is based in Leicester. In a stunning coincidence, The Butterflies Of Love are also from abroad (Connecticut to be

precise)

and their record label is also from Leicester. The message to be drawn from this? Go to Leicester, kids. It’s happening.

Rob A Bank‘ is just about happening, being as it is one of

the most

listless, indolent records that you will hear in your dismal little lives. Jeffrey Greene murmurs like a narcoleptic Lou

Barlow about

the invigorating power of a hopelessly lost love, concluding with confusing candour, “You make me feel like I could rob a bank”.

Another fine record from another fine, self-effacing little

independent. Keep ’em coming, chaps.
