A brooding, post-clubbing nod to trip-hop..
Three years on from their widely lauded debut album, ‘The Weekend’, Skinny sound as if they’ve been splitting their time between Ibiza’s Café Del Mar, Bristol’s darkest pubs and wherever’s hip to hang out in
New York this week. ‘Morning Light’ is a mellow mish-mash of
all three, a brooding, post-clubbing nod to trip-hop. With ’80s synths, moody rock musings and vocals that could be great were it not for the horrible Mick Hucknall getting there first and ruining it for us all by forming Simply Red.
