Very sweet, but destined to be disappointed...
Wow! Straight outta 1996, Licquid hop on the creative-spelling wagon, but otherwise fail comprehensively to notice that the clock has ticked over to a new millennium.
They describe their sound as ‘a heady mix of driving rhythm section supporting big chunky indie rock guitars, catchy melodic vocals and uplifting choruses’, and they hail from the Digbeth suburb of Birmingham which also gave us ‘such diverse talent as [a]Ocean Colour Scene[/a], Pram, and [a]King Adora[/a]’. Uh-oh. What we have here is some competent indie rock that wouldn’t be out of place on a Longpigs B-side. Very sweet, but destined to be disappointed. Next!
