It's actually little more than a polished turd, all ready for you to flush into the trad-rock sewers
What is it about bands from Iceland? A craggy pile of rocks populated by utterly bonkers elfin beauties, they should all be making music that sounds like [a]White Stripes[/a] kicking out the jams on the rim of a volcano. Instead, they bring us the most toe-numbingly boring act in the world, [a]Sigur Ros[/a], and now Leaves – a band so sub-Coldplay bland that they make glaciers look colourful. Nailing that arse-end of Britpop feel perfectly, ‘Catch’ is earnest jingle-jangle indie with Grand and Important violin bits. [a][/a] desperately want this single to be the fast-track to a Glastonbury headline slot. It’s actually little more than a polished turd, all ready for you to flush into the trad-rock sewers.
