If there’s been a happy-clappy, 23-man sized hole in your soul, rejoice! On ‘Running Away’, Tim DeLaughter and acolytes prance back into your life with a canyon-straddling epic of horn-parping optimism and lyrics about nice things like jogging, flying and big cuddles that sounds like ‘Sgt Pepper’s’ meets Heaven’s Gate on fistfuls of Prozac. Oh, let’s be honest, this isn’t a band that’s going to answer any deep metaphysical questions, so much as leave you happy in a confused sort of way, like being chased by The Flaming Lips through a hall of mirrors. Still, there’s nothing like getting back in the habit. Or cassock. Whatever.
