The Runners

All Over Again

In these times of pork-pie hat flaunting indie rotten-ness, it’s gratifying that the ol’ growly guitar/spitting drums thing can still be done with clarity and conviction. Even though The Runners downplay their own importance with their faux work experience name, ‘All Over Again’ stands out like a rowdy streaker in a roomful of nuns. It’s a series of electric explosions, like Joe Lean headbutting The Wombats before hoisting them up on hooks stolen from The Kooks. If not quite as good as last single ‘Get In Line’, this is still a run-from-the-bar-to-the-dancefloor slice of tuneage.
