Sea Legs

Every figure of beauty usually has at least one slightly ugly aspect to it, so it’s best to think of ‘Sea Legs’ as the musical equivalent of Angelina Jolie’s bumhole. Undisputedly, when taken as part of The Shins’ incredible ‘Wincing The Night Away’ album, it can boast being attached to one of the most beautiful entities in the world today, but in isolation it’s just not all that appealing. Stop-start acoustic twangs, wishy-washy choruses that meander like a lost dog and – dear gawd – pan-pipes are not really the stuff of anyone’s dreams. But, hey, whatever turns you on.
