In possibly the best intergalactic event since Secret Cinema: The Empire Strikes Back, an Italian cooking-duo is bringing their Star Wars-themed pop-up restaurant to the big smoke. Yup, that’s right, space-food experts Francesca and Alessandro of Barrel Forks open The Fork Awakens for seven nights at a secret London location on June 23.
The pop-up supper club promises “strong drinks, hot tunes, and occasional outbreaks of shocking violence.” It also has one damn fine cosmic menu.
For starters you can tuck into Tatooine muddy soup with Alderaan olive oil – get it while you can, there’s a shortage now the planet’s been blown up. Then beef up your menu with some delicious mini banthaburgers. Or, if you’d rather something more filling, gulp down some Hutt dogs instead – no word yet if they contain any part of Jabba. Finally, there’s no better dish to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours than Wasaka-berry pudding. Reportedly picked fresh by a team of Jawas.
Thirsty? Then hop over to the bar for a lethal-sounding Jedi lightsaber cocktail. Just don’t drink too much or you might end up losing a limb…

As you’d expect, fancy dress is highly recommended. But don’t worry, it’s not a trap. Chances are everyone will look as ridiculous as each other.
Tickets for this interstellar dining experience start at £55 per head and are available here. The event runs from June 23 to July 2nd.
