Legend has it that 'Flowers In The Window' was initially felt to be too soppy for inclusion on Travis' all-conquering album of last year. Too damn nice to even be on the nicest album by the nicest band in the world, ever. Then some bright spark noticed that it was an amazing pop song with a built-in chant-a-long chorus and some excellent seagull noises.
And here it is, the kazillionth single off 'The Invisible Band'. This month alone, Travis will be playing 'Flowers…' live to an estimated 200,000 people around the country. And every single one of their lives will be irretrievably brightened as a result. Hooray!
