Violent Sensation Descends

Violens

Ever wondered what The Shins might sound like if they’d ever taken an enormous amount of happy drugs with Arthur Lee, Jim Morrison and the rest of the ’60s West Coast Elektra set? We hadn’t until we just wrote that down, but new York psych troupe Violens are here to actualise that remote possibility in the form of ‘Violent Sensation Descends’. The lack of a discernible chorus means it probably wouldn’t change Natalie Portman’s life, mind.
