Here at NME, we love inventing new scenes, so hurray for Youngplan, founder members with Mumm-Ra of what we’re calling Sexy Sussex and the most exciting thing to happen to Hastings since that battle. ‘Little Things’ is promising fare, with astute observations about how simple pleasures like wireless broadband help paper over the yearning cracks in the soul. It treads a treacherous path between Joy Divison and goth, though, so more ‘glancing blow with a lance’ than ‘arrow in the eye’.
