Filthy Dukes
Over the last few years the Filthy Dukes DJs have provided the soundtrack to a thousand blizzard-hazy nights out. From Glastonbury to Bestival, Fabric and an NME Tour their turntable wizardry has kept us raving til dawn, while their remixing on the side has spun some legendary reworkings of everyone from The Rakes to The Maccabees. Their full band guise sees the London boys step out from behind the decks as fully-fledged rocks stars, and personally we can't wait to see 'Tupac Robot Club Rock' live.
Dead Kids
London punks Dead Kids ought to hold a masterclass in gig carnage at the university of moshing; their shows are routinely well-choreographed chaos and their singer Mike spends more time in the crowd than on-stage. Which is how it should be of course. With the help of one of the best drummers on the indie stage today (just watching him warm-up is like a gig in itself) and recent massive single 'Into The Fire', they'll ignite the party like kerosine on magnesium strip.
Young Fathers
The best Scottish rap act since - ahem, ever - have been firm favourites of NME Radio since they found their 'Straight Back On It' track on MySpace and promptly elevated it to the hallowed ground of the station's A-list. Kind words have spilled from NME magazine too, calling the track "the biggest party hit since 'Thriller'" and praising their "awesome reimagining of the booty bass template". Expect thunderous b-lines, old skool sampling, and a packed-out room full of jelly-limbed gibbering party freaks when this lot come to town.
Unicorn Kid
17-year-old Edinburgh boy and 8-bit wonder Unicorn Kid is set to take the Crystal Castles mantle and throw it over the nation this year. If you're coming, bring glowsticks and as much NRG as you can muster.
Little Death
On their MySpace they say: healing, easy listening, and chinese pop. We say: gorgeous shimmer pop with a military strut guaranteed to strike post-orgasmic thrills up your spine.
Duologue
A cross between a funky Radiohead and a folktronic Coldplay, Duologue are a muchly-talented mix of multi-instrumentalists and firm favourites of the station's Nick Luscombe
La Roux
Little Boots should be watching her back this year, as La Roux has the electro-sass thing all sewn up already. Her track 'Quicksand' barely left the NME stereo last year and we can't wait to see it live.
You Love Her Cos Shes Dead
Imagine a less-cynical Hadouken fighting Crystal Castles in an arcade death match. On rollerskates. On an oil slick. And you're somewhere near YLHCSD's manic Atari riot, which has already been picked up by Kitsune and is set to go stratospheric this year.
Mr Beasley
Another brand new artist that recently parachuted straight onto the NME Radio A-list, Mr Beasley bring he funk, the hip-hop and the electronic disco good times - all in the same song usually..
