Paul Goldstein - Fjordene video

Paul Goldstein - Original Piano Composition FJORDENE ["The Fjords"], composed in April 2006, makes use of a verbal score of musical directions, along with an inspirational photograph of a Norwegian fjord chosen by the performer. The directions outline an improvisational framework of modalities, textures, and harmonies for the performer to follow, along with snippets of melodic quotes from "Ja, vi elsker" [the Norwegian national anthem]. This performance is the first public presentation of this work.
