Asobi Seksu - Me & Mary video

Video for the first single from the new Asobi Seksu album Hush. Buy the album at http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/store/index.php?id=606. The video was conceived of and designed by Brooklyn-based illustrator Dan-ah Kim, and executed with the help of director Aaron Stewart-Ahn. For the first time Kim is directing a work of her own, collaborating with Stewart-Ahn for his technical knowledge. The pair met while working as crew on a Michel Gondry project. For Dan-ah the video was a chance to experiment with animation, which was done in camera without the aid of computers or greenscreens. Dan-ah's illustrative works can be seen at http://www.dkim-art.com. In the past year she has shown at Thinkspace in L.A. and Giant Robot in NYC. Aaron Stewart-Ahn last conceived of and traveled the world for Death Cab for Cutie's I Will Possess Your Heart clip, which won an MTV video music award and a prestigious award from the Camerimage film festival in Poland. Dan-ah was a crew member on the two week journey around the globe, which led to their desire to collaborate further.
