Saray Dukh Seh Gayein Ankhen Meri - Khalid Asghar video

Long ago when I was working in my Audio Studio, I got an invitation card of "Aik Sham Khalid Asghar kay Naam" given to me by one of my Multan Radio Friend (I think Ali Tanha or Riaz Mailsi or may be Malik Aziz ur Rehman sahab of Jamhoor Di Awaz fame) I didnt use to goto functions in routine but for that evening i was in some pensive mood and decided to go for a few minutes.. just as change.. from tedious recording n dubbing job. But i fell in Khalid Bhai's charm there.."dekhti reh gayein aankhen meri" Rather "sunti hi reh gayein sama`tein meri." Unfortunately i cudnt hear him again..but much laters when i went to Multan Radio with a script of my feature "Manzil Pakistan" which went on-air on 14th August as Independence Day Celebration, i had Khalid Bhai in my mind..and i asked my Producer friend Raiz Mailsi about Saray Dukh Seh Gayein..The spool we had in Multan Radio was badly damaged and the start of the song was missing altogether..so i offered them my services to re-master it (Khalid Bhai had meanwhile shifted to Lahore as Station Director i think, else we cud have re-recorded it) Anyways I did a lot of Patch work and made it worth playing on Radio again. Here is the re-mastered edition for you (sorry for the one word staggering in "aur phir BEH gayein aankhen meri" Dunno how i missed it then..but the rest is patched reasonable i think and u cant simply guess that it used to start from Antra(stanza) when i got it initially :) Khalid Asghar retired as former Station Director, Radio Pakistan, Lahore (19 Dec 1999- 01-01-2006) which is an evidence of his multifaceted personality as he was a great administrator and a talented singer and his services for the promotion of music make him count among legendary personalities of Radio like Salim Geelani and few others we had in the golden past) Some of Mehdi Hassan's good compositions are compiled under Khalid Bhai too which i'll list or upload laters. Coming to current song, I got the requests for this song from someone in Dubai and also i had promised this upload with my Indian youtube friend Dharmesh Kumar (JulmiBaba nick here) Wonder when n how he heard it. May be from Lahore Radio or even Multan Radio had a very powerful signal transmitter backdays to be listened in India especially at night hours...So here it is for you all.. The song is dedicated to ofcourse LaliLali1000 who may be introduced if willing :) Enjoy the song Plz. Lyricist is Safdar Hamdani i think. If I remember correctly He had also penned "Ankhon mein Sapno kay Phool Khilay Jab Pehli Baar Milay" sung by Ammara Naseem on Multan Radio. Regards Dr.Bukhari Note: Khalid Bhai is currently leading a retired life from Radio but am sure hes never retired from Singing :) Best Wishes to you Khalid Bhai. ------------------------------- Reply from Khalid Bhai after this upload: Thank you very much, for your message about my item " SARAY DUKH SEH GAEEN, AaNKHEIN MERI " I rendered this item after the death of Shaheed Z. A.Bhutto. The main concept was "DEKHTI REH GAEEN, AaNKGEN MERI " This was my line for the Shahadat of Bhutto. Means, we could not do any thing to save his life, but EXCEPT to see the sad event & feel, the rare personality, we killed. So, i requested Mr. Safdar Ali Hamadani to go ahead. Another verse in mine, BAS WAHEEN RAH GAEEN, AaNKHEN MERI" the special factor is: I created this line during my singing. Mr. Safdar was amazed. The composer name is: Bakhshi Wazir. In case, PBc, Multan needs its fresh copy, can be written to Central Productions, Islamabad or PBC, Lahore. I have its Master in my own Audio Labreary at my home. So, extend your request to Music Producer, for the same if any body is interested. Khalid Asghar.
