Ruben Tagalog: Akong Gugma video

Here is an example of a very passionate Visayan 'kundiman' (for lack of a Visayan equivalent). It was long forgotten and not very popular but I think that it had much more passion than most of what is celebrated as the best of Philippine music. Most Visayans I've talked to haven't heared of it. Sung by Ruben Tagalog probably in the early 1960s in the album Ruben Tagalog sings Visayan songs. Ruben Tagalog is known in the Philippines as the Hari Ng Kundiman (King of the Kundiman). Ruben Tagalog is actually an Ilonggo from the Visayan city of Iloilo.
