Death of a Boy (Heath Ledger) video

Things you need to know... 1. I am not a terribly competent guitar player, in a couple of months if my ability to play this song has improved I will re-record it. It should be faster, but I was never going to get it done if I tried to play it faster. 2. This song is not about what happened to Heath Ledger, because I don't know what happened to Heath Ledger. I spent three days on set with him a couple of days before he died and this is my response to what I experienced and how I felt about what happened. The lyrics are... The harlequin cries painted tears And no one thinks to say Is everything okay We all have bills to pay When everyone is watching you You often walk alone Your secrets turn to stone The truth remains unknown I watched a while, I walked a while, I talked a while with you The words we said were few Your thoughts went by unseen A pair of miming clowns You joked a while, you smoked a while You fell down to the ground A fight without a sound While fireworks burst bright above the cobble stones When no one tries to talk to you It's easy to forget Your fears can all be met We all are frightened too I dreamed last night I spoke to you But when I awoke in bed I couldn't think of what you said Your secrets stay unknown Buried under stone You joked a while, you smoked a while You fell down to the ground A fight without a sound As horses raced away upon the cobble stones The harlequin cries painted tears And no one thinks to say Is everything okay I guess you're not okay. This song and performance are copyright to me, Marysia Kay, Jan 2008.
