For What Its Worth by Max Creek video

Max Creek . Camp Creek 2003.Gordon Stone guests on steel...written by Stephen Stills in 1966 , recorded with Buffalo Springfield in 1967. Of note ,this song was released prior to the Kent State shootings. Some assume it was written about the tragic event in Ohio, when in actuality there was already unrest occuring between youth and the establishment. In 2004, this song was #63 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. There's something happening here What it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down There's battle lines being drawn Nobody's right if everybody's wrong Young people speaking their minds, Getting so much resistance from behind I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down What a field-day for the heat A thousand people in the street Singing songs and carrying signs Mostly say, "Hooray for our side!" It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Paranoia strikes deep Into your life, it will creep It starts when you're always afraid You step out of line, the man come and take you away We better stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, now, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
