Joey Jordison vs. Lars Ulrich video

Nathan Jonas "Joey" Jordison is an American rock musician. He is best known for his role as the drummer for the band Slipknot. He is also well known as the guitarist for Murderdolls, a glam metal/horror punk band which he founded in the 2000s, that is currently on hiatus due to the Murderdolls' members' main projects. As of 2007, he is also Black Metal band Gorgoroth's live drummer for the United States. In 2006, he was the drummer for the industrial metal band Ministry. For the most of 2007, Jordison took over the drumming duties for the nu-metal band Korn before going back to the studio to work on Slipknot's fourth studio album. In the summer of 2004 at Download Festival, Lars Ulrich of headliners Metallica was unable to perform with the band. Jordison stepped up and filled in for Ulrich. Joey played most of the set with Metallica. Lars Ulrich (born December 26, 1963) is the drummer and co-founder of Metallica. He was born in Gentofte, Denmark to an upper middle-class family. A tennis prodigy in his youth, Ulrich moved to Los Angeles, California at age seventeen to pursue his training, but instead of playing tennis, he ended up as a drummer. After publishing an advertisement in a local Los Angeles newspaper called The Recycler, he met James Hetfield and formed Metallica. Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1981.[1] Metallica has become one of the most commercially successful musical acts of recent decades, and are considered one of the "Big Four" pioneers of thrash metal, along with Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth.[citation needed] The band has sold more than 90 million records worldwide,[2][3] including 57 million albums in the United States alone[4][5], which makes them the most commercially successful thrash metal band of all time.[6] Slipknot (sometimes typeset as SlipKnoT to fit their logo) is a Grammy-winning American nu metal[1] band from Des Moines, Iowa. The nine-piece formed in 1996 and is currently signed to Roadrunner Records[2]/Nuclear Blast. German-based record company Nuclear Blast Records handles the record sales of the band in Scandinavia while Roadrunner handles the sales worldwide. Their albums and home videos have achieved platinum sales status.[1] The band's Grammy award nominations include Best Metal Performance, which their song, "Before I Forget", won after six successive years of nomination.[3]
