After putting Throwing Muses on hiatus over a decade ago, Kristin Hersh has continued to write, record and tour on her own and with her punk-influenced power trio, 50 Foot Wave. Her bevy of flawless solo albums have included collaborations with the likes of Giant Sand's Howe Gelb, Vic Chestnutt and Andrew Bird, and her poignant, heartfelt songs continue to emanate from the innermost part of her soul. Now a solo artist for more than a decade, Hersh continues to enjoy life as an indie artist who is completely in control of her own destiny.
