SCREAM STORM OFFSTAGE

Bobby Gillespie quits gig after fans throw glasses at him...

Primal Scream walked off stage at Leeds Town & Country Club on Monday (April 17 ) after a fan started to throw pint glasses at frontman Bobby Gillespie.

An eyewitness told nme.com: “They were playing ‘Swastika Eyes‘ and someone threw a drink which just missed Bobby Gillespie. He walked off stage and the band carried on playing the song instrumentally. He returned and someone threw another so he left again and the band followed.

“They came back on again pretty quickly and once they got in their stride they seemed to have forgotten all about it and looked to be enjoying themselves.”

Inside sources who were at the Scream aftershow party told nme.com that the band later passed off the incident as “just one of those things”.

Primal Scream conclude their UK tour with an all-nighter on Saturday at the London Brixton Academy.
