Film will be screened in cinemas for one night only on December 2
Blur have shared a new clip from their forthcoming documentary film, Blur: New World Towers.
Directed by Sam Wrench, the feature-length film will be released on December 2, and focuses on the band’s London gig at Hyde Park during the summer.
The documentary is expected to focus on the Damon Albarn/Graham Coxon dynamic, going in-depth on how new record ‘The Magic Whip’, Blur’s first album as a four-piece in 16 years, was written and recorded.

‘New World Towers’ – the title of a track on the aforementioned eighth album – is the name of a building in Hong Kong. The city features in the film as the location of concert footage that concludes the documentary, as well as the opening to the album’s story.
A series of special “one night only” screenings of the film take place on December 2 and will show at cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and Edinburgh, at selected Picturehouse, Curzon, Odeon, Vue and Cineworld venues. An international release is also planned. For more information go to www.blur.co.uk
