Eminem’s former bodyguard says Suge Knight tried to have the rapper killed

The rapper was allegedly targeted at the 2001 Source Awards

Eminem‘s former bodyguard has claimed Suge Knight once tried to have the rapper killed.

Myron Williams said in a recent interview that Eminem was targeted at the 2001 Source Awards.

As Vulture reports, Williams claims changes in the ceremony’s seating chart meant bodyguards weren’t allowed to sit with their artists.

“I noticed that, in the middle of the aisle, [Eminem]’s beefing with all these guys in red shirts,” he recalled. “I noticed his face changing, and he’s turning like, tomato-red. And there’s a sea of red guys around him. I had to bust through the middle and snatch him up.”

Williams said the men in red were representing Knight’s Death Row Records and had been ordered to “strong-arm” Eminem.

Williams got the rapper out of the situation with help from Dr Dre‘s bodyguards. “We were in beast mode the whole time,” he said.

Knight is currently in jail awaiting trial on murder charges after he ran over and killed a man on the set of Straight Outta Compton last year.
