Listen to ‘Pretty Dark’, a new demo from Grimes

Here's Grimes...

Grimes has shared a demo for a new track called ‘Pretty Dark’. You can listen to it in full below.

The new demo follows the release of 2018’s ‘We Appreciate Power’ – although the latest offering won’t be featured on her next album.

Instead, Claire Boucher explains in a video description that it comes from a forthcoming augmented reality musical that she’s working on.

“NOT A SINGLE lol just a demo,” wrote Grimes in the video description.

“This is from an AR musical im working on (AKA NOT THE ALBUM/ NOT OFFICIAL GRIMES MUSIC//////).”

This comes after Grimes previously shared a snippet of new material in January, which saw her vocals being swamped by excessive bass sounds.

In November 2018, it was also revealed that online searches to find out the meaning of the word “capitulate” have soared after it featured in ‘We Appreciate Power’.

Dazed revealed that searches for “what does capitulate mean” rose by 500 percent, while “define capitulate” went up by 200 percent. According to Google, “capitulate” means “cease to resist an opponent or an unwelcome demand; yield”.

Although a release date for her next album is yet to be released, her last record came in the form of 2015’sArt Angels‘. The album was named NME‘s Album Of The Year for 2015, beating the likes of Kendrick LamarLana Del ReyBlur, and A$AP Rocky to the accolade.
