Record Store Day 2019 is almost here, and as us vinyl junkies gear up to get our hands on this year’s selection of rarities and re-issues, stores across the UK are planning a weekend of special events. Here are the best RSD events across the UK for 2019.

London

Rough Trade West

Why? They’ve got a sure-to-be-blistering set from Irish punks Fontaines D.C., as well as acoustic performances from Peter Doherty and KT Tunstall.

Why? Honey Lung will be putting on an acoustic performance, and there will be DJ sets from James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco) and Crewel Intentions’ Jordan Cook. Plus they’re giving out freebies and serving cocktails all day!

Why? They’ve teamed up with techno festival Junction 2 and Old Blue Last beer so expect surprises throughout the day. And their pals at TPI Sound will be providing the soundsystem, so it’s set to be a big one.

Why? For their second RSD Beyond Vinyl are pulling out all the stops. They’ve got live music from 1pm, and you’ll be able to enjoy a bottle of their limited edition “beyond ale” as you enjoy the festivities.

Why? They’re stocking as many RSD releases as they can, using their venue as a pop up shop! Why? Every year VoxBox hoast their excellent street party for RSD, and this year it’s grown so much they’ve had to hire the church at the end of the street to host the event. There will live music, a bar, and Frightened Rabbit table, where they’ll raise money for the Scott Hutchison Foundation.
