Glastonbury 2019 will see the introduction of a new “hidden gem micro venue” to the Silver Hayes area.
With the likes of Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Steel Banglez, Lady Leshurr, Ocean Wisdom, Four Tet, Miraa May, Ray Blk and many, many more announced for this year’s vast Silver Hayes line-up, the festival have also announced the addition of new venue No Average Groove.
“New micro venue No Average Groove will feature all genres of music and styles,” said Glastonbury in a statement.”There will be nothing average about this small stage, the new hidden gem of Silver Hayes.
“So get your dancing shoes on and groove to the tunes from the hottest underground dance music scene.”
As for other new additions, more details emerged last month of what to expect from the new Victorian seaside pier at Glastonbury 2019.
Stormzy, The Cure, The Killers and Janet Jackson are among the huge names on this year’s line-up. Meanwhile, it has also been rumoured that US politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been invited to speak at the event in June.
All tickets for Glastonbury 2019 are currently sold out, but a resale for unwanted tickets will take place on Sunday April 28.
As for next year, Michael Eavis recently teased that Paul McCartney could be set to headline Glastonbury 2020. Back as far as 2017, daughter and co-organiser Emily Eavis said that they had already booked two headliners for Glasto 2020. While rumoured acts for next year also include Madonna, Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Fleetwood Mac and naturally Oasis, Emily did rule out the chances of Pink Floyd performing.
