Here’s What Your Favourite Famous People Dressed Up As For Halloween

Charli XCX, Amy Schumer, Blossoms and more went all out for the spookiest weekend of the year

It’s not just you and your mates that love getting dressed up in some ghoulish costume for Halloween. Famous types are well into it too, concocting outfits from the outlandish to the unimaginative, just like the rest of us. Here’s what some of your favourite stars went as for the spookiest weekend of the year.

Charli XCX kept it traditional with devil horns and a red dress, adding some bloody eyes to make the guise her own.

We might as well all give up now, Katy Perry owned Halloween with this one. Sure, you’re really supposed to dress up as something scary for Halloween and we’re guessing she doesn’t find Hillary Clinton all that frightening seeing as she’s been so supportive of her, but effort trumps tradition here.

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas took inspiration from The Wizard Of Oz for their themed costumes.

As part of American Horror Story, Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have shown many times you don’t need a ridiculous outfit to be terrifying so we’ll let them off for keeping things simple with these skull facepaint (is she meant to look like Peters’ character Tate in AHS: Murder Story?) and pregnant woman get-ups.

Ellie Goulding pulled on a ship’s captain’s uniform for her weekend outing. Here she is, wondering where her boat’s got to.

MØ and her band took their inspiration from this summer’s blockbuster movie Suicide Squad, with the Major Lazer collaborator taking on the role of a very sparkly Harley Quinn.

Like many this Halloween, Amy Schumer and her boyfriend showed their love for Stranger Things. The comedian dressed up as Dustin, while her partner Ben was Eleven, complete with nosebleed.

It’s not often you see people dressed like characters from The Lion King, let alone killer lion Scar, so props to Zara Larsson for thinking out of the box with this one and incorporating a load of sequins into the costume too.

As if disco Scar wasn’t enough, the Swedish singer also dressed as Maleficent at Vevo’s Halloween party in Liverpool. Reckon she’s a Disney fan?

All that hard touring is taking its toll on Blossoms. They also performed at the Vevo’s Halloween party, looking like their flesh was about to fall off.

Matt Bellamy, meanwhile, went for the steampunk look as he celebrated the holiday in LA.

Another contender for winner of Halloween 2016, Frasier‘s Kelsey Grammer was spotted out and about dressed as The Simpsons‘ character Sideshow Bob, complete with face daubed in yellow.

Taylor Swift used her Hollywood hook-ups to get a very authentic costume for her night out. Kind of feels like cheating to us, but OK.
